Who we are

AppForge Digital ("we", "us", "our") builds apps, webpages, automations, and reports for small and medium Australian businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website — mainly via the quote request form — and how we handle it.

What we collect

When you submit a quote request, we collect:

• Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number (phone is optional).
• Project information: the description you provide of what you're looking for, and the type of work requested (app, webpage, automation, Power BI report, etc.).
• Uploaded documents: if you attach a file (scan, form, spreadsheet, PDF, image, or similar) to help explain your request, that file is uploaded and stored via our file-hosting processor, Cloudinary.
• Site usage data: we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand general site traffic — things like which pages are viewed and roughly how visitors found the site. This is aggregated usage data, not the contact or project information described above, and isn't linked back to your quote request.

How we use it

Your information is used solely to:

• Understand what you're asking for and prepare an accurate quote;
• Communicate with you about your request (by email, and by phone if you've provided a number);
• If you proceed with an engagement, to build and deliver the requested app, webpage, automation, or report.

We don't use your information for marketing you haven't asked for, and we don't sell it.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your information does pass through a small number of service providers ("processors") that we use to run this website and respond to your request:

• Cloudinary — stores any file you upload through the quote form, so we can access it.
• EmailJS — delivers your quote request as an email notification to us; it processes the form data to send that email but is not used to store or market to you separately.
• Netlify — hosts this website and processes web traffic in the ordinary course of serving the site.
• Google Analytics — collects aggregated, anonymised-where-possible usage statistics about how visitors use this site (pages viewed, general location/device type, referral source). Google's own privacy policy governs how it processes this data on its platform.

These providers only receive what's needed to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy and security practices.

How long we keep it

We retain quote request information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping (for example, in case of follow-up work or a dispute). If you'd like your information deleted sooner, contact us and we'll action it unless we're required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• Correct any information that's inaccurate or out of date;
• Delete your information, subject to any legal or accounting obligations we may have to retain it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including relying on the security practices of our hosting and processing providers (Netlify, Cloudinary, EmailJS, Google Analytics). No method of transmission or storage online is completely secure, but we don't ask for or store sensitive information like payment card details through this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new tool like website analytics. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
